Flutist Elisabeth Nanowski holds a Master of Music degree from the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, England and a Bachelor of Music degree from The University of Western Ontario. She has also furthered her studies at the Domaine Forget Academy in Charlevoix, QC. Her primary teachers include Peter Lloyd and Anne Thompson.
Elisabeth has performed as a member of the Brantford Symphony Orchestra, Brampton Symphony Orchestra, Cathedral Bluffs Symphony Orchestra, Hart House Orchestra and York Symphony Orchestra. An avid chamber musician, she performs regularly with the Brookshire Winds woodwind quintet as well as a flute and harp duo. In addition to performing, she has served as a Teaching Faculty at the Kincardine Summer Music Festival and Faculty Assistant at the Interprovincial Music Camp. Elisabeth maintains an active flute studio where she enjoys teaching students of all ages.
Elisabeth is a recent winner of the Hart House Concerto Competition; she has been the recipient of many awards including first place at the York Region Celebration of the Arts.
