Silver Strings Ensemble
Cellist Hannah Jackson holds a Master of Music degree from the University of Ottawa and a Bachelor of Music degree from The University of Western Ontario, studying with Professors Paul Marleyn and Thomas Wiebe, respectively. She has also completed an Artist Diploma as a student of David Hetherington at The Glenn Gould School of The Royal Conservatory. Hannah has spent summers at Le Domaine Forget in St. Irénée, Québec and has played with the Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra, l’Orchestre de la francophonie canadienne, the Ottawa Symphony Orchestra, the National Youth Orchestra of Canada and the National Academy Orchestra of Canada. International performances include a two-week tour of China as a member of the Ontario Festival Symphony Orchestra. She currently performs regularly with the Jeans n Classics Rock Symphony, based out of London, Ontario.
In addition to performing, Hannah is also a trained Suzuki Method cello teacher, having completed training at the Southwestern Ontario Suzuki Institute and at the Western Springs School for Talent Education in Illinois. Hannah is a member of the Suzuki Association of Ontario and of the Americas and the Ontario Registered Music Teachers’ Association.

Silver Strings Ensemble is pleased to offer classical music for weddings, corporate events or special occasions in the Greater Toronto Area. Our professional musicians will create the elegant atmosphere you seek for your special event. In addition to flute and cello, our ensemble encompasses violin, piano and harp. We will customize our ensemble to fit the needs of your event and venue.
Flutist Elisabeth Nanowski holds a Master of Music degree from the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, England and a Bachelor of Music degree from The University of Western Ontario. She has also furthered her studies at the Domaine Forget Academy in Charlevoix, QC. Her primary teachers include Peter Lloyd and Anne Thompson.
Elisabeth has performed as a member of the Brantford Symphony Orchestra, Brampton Symphony Orchestra, Cathedral Bluffs Symphony Orchestra, Hart House Orchestra and York Symphony Orchestra. An avid chamber musician, she performs regularly with the Brookshire Winds woodwind quintet as well as a flute and harp duo. In addition to performing, she has served as a Teaching Faculty at the Kincardine Summer Music Festival and Faculty Assistant at the Interprovincial Music Camp. Elisabeth maintains an active flute studio where she enjoys teaching students of all ages.
Elisabeth is a recent winner of the Hart House Concerto Competition; she has been the recipient of many awards including first place at the York Region Celebration of the Arts.
